Genealogy Website Links

It is alway handy to have access to those websites which may contain the genealogical records we may need.  I hope to collect such a list of sites here.  If you find a site that you think will be helpful please e-mail the address to me and we will include it.

The United States Government Land Office, Bureau of Land Management    has available to download or buy, copies of Homestead grants for several states.  The download copies are of dubious print quality.  For $2.00 you can order originals which I believe are worth it.  This one was sent by Lindsay Thomas.

Native American Cemetary Readers  This site has a lot of information about Benton County Arkansas and Delaware County Oklahoma.  Lou Ann Chamberlain of Nebraska (a Gadberry great-grandchild) found it of use to her.  You will be asked to become a member, but preliminary searches are free.  The Quick Search I did turned up the Gadberry names, Earlyne, Henry C., John H., Lois I., Nellie, Ova Dee, and Tonia Ann. As I have time I will try and investigate further.

Fluvanna County Georgia:   http://members.aol.com/leeintn/private/fluvanna/michele.htm  This site contains much information
about Fluvanna County Researchers and their research,  and a lot of documents.  While I found no direct links to any Gadberrys, they do offer access to researchers who will do work for you, obviously at a fee.

Lineages Genealogy Site: Fluvanna County, Virginia   http://www.lineagesnet.com/usa/va/FluvannaCounty.html
What records are available for Fluvanna County, Virginia and where to write for them.  This appears to be a for profit website
with a lot of resources.  I did a free search on the Land Grants for soldiers of the War of 1812 which turned up no Gadberrys, but have investigated no further.
