The Accused

Self-described as "Splatter Rock"...you'd have to hear their music to understand. :)

"The Return of Martha Splatterhead"

  1. "Martha Splatterhead" (2:16)
  2. "Wrong Side of the Grave" (3:06)
  3. "Take My Time" (2:06)
  4. "Distractions" (2:06)
  5. "Buried Alive" (1:26)
  6. "Show No Mercy" (2:26)
  7. "Slow Death" (2:15)
  8. "Autopsy" (3:38)
  9. "She's a Killer" (1:54)
  10. "In a Death Bed" (1:12)
  11. "Lonely Place" (2:25)
  12. "Fuck for Bucks" (2:16)
  13. "Martha's Revenge" (4:56)

Despite "The Return of" in the title, this is the band's first album as far as I know. Also the ONLY Accused album that doesn't feature a cover song!

"More Fun Than an Open Casket Funeral"

  1. "Halo of Flies (The Deadly Blessing)" (3:10)
  2. "W.C.A.L.T. (We Can All Live Together)" (1:46)
  3. "Rape (Not a Love Song)" (4:00)
  4. "Lifeless Zone" (2:50)
  5. "Scotty" (2:46)
  6. "Devil Woman" (4:39)
  7. "Bethany Home (A Place to Die)" (3:17)
  8. "Mechanized Death (I Love to Drive)" (2:49)
  9. "S.H.C."--instrumental (0:52)
  10. "Judgment Day" (2:23)
  11. "Take No Prisoners (No One Left Alive)" (1:59)
  12. "Splatter Rock" (3:24)
  13. "Septi-Child" (1:42)
  14. "I'll Be Glad When You're Dead" (1:50)

Note: Most of the subtitles are not listed on the CD. "Devil Woman" is a Cliff Richard (!) song. The warm & tender lyrics of "Scotty" really speak to my heart: "He was five years young/When his parents split/His father gave him love/Scotty was beat to shit...Scotty lies buried/in a shallow grave/in his backyard." How sweet!

"Martha Splatterhead's Maddest Stories Ever Told"

  1. "Psychomania (She's Dead)" (3:15)
  2. "Bag Lady Song" (2:00)
  3. "Inherit the Earth (The Day of Wreckoning)" (3:12)
  4. "Deception (The Imposters)" (0:25)
  5. "Molly's X-mas '72" (3:16)
  6. "I'd Love to Change the World" (2:22)
  7. "You Only Die Once" (3:28)
  8. "Sick Boy" (1:10)
  9. "Chicago" (0:20)
  10. "Starved to Death (Eatin' Yer Buddies)" (2:52)
  11. "War=Death '88 (and Beyond)" (1:55)
  12. "The Maddest Story Ever Told" (2:05)
  13. "Intro (from the Tingler)" (0:26)
  14. "Scared of the Dark" (3:07)
  15. "Losing Your Mind" (2:38)
  16. "Smothered Her Trust" (3:38)
  17. "Lights Out" (0:50)
  18. "The Hearse (Traditional Nursery Rhyme)" (1:10)

Again, most of the subtitles don't appear on the CD. "...Change the World" is by Ten Years After and "Lights Out" is by some punk band. On the LP version, "Chicago" (a highly distorted voice saying "FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!" over and over again) went into the inner groove of the record but not quite far enough for the needle to pick up, so it would play forever! It would have been neat if they placed that track at the end and filled up the rest of the CD space with it.

"Grinning Like an Undertaker"

  1. "Pounding Nails (Into the Lid of Your Coffin)" (3:05)
  2. "Bullet-Ridden Bodies" (2:40)
  3. "The Corpse Walks" (3:39)
  4. "Grinning (Like an Undertaker)" (1:48)
  5. "Down & Out (featuring The Mad Poet)" (3:43)
  6. "Cut & Dried" (1:41)
  7. "Dropping Like Flies" (2:32)
  8. "M is for Martha" (2:49)
  9. "Room 144"--instrumental (2:57)
  10. "When I Was a Child" (2:33)
  11. "The Night" (2:28)
  12. "Voices" (3:16)
  13. "Boris the Spider" (2:35)
  14. "Tapping the Vein" (2:32)

Another typical Accused album, complete with the obligatory cover song. (Take a guess which one.)

"Straight Razor"

  1. "No Hope for Relief/Close Insight" (2:26)
  2. "The Corpse Walks" (3:39)
  3. "Straight Razor (Going for the Throat)" (2:07)
  4. "Down & Out" (3:43)
  5. "Saturday Nite Special" (3:17)
  6. "Blind Hate/Blind Rage" (2:37)
  7. "Voices"--live (5:17)

An EP featuring three tracks from "Grinning..." plus the obligatory cover.

"Splatter Rock"

  1. "Two Hours Till Sunrise" (4:13)
  2. "Stick in a Hole" (3:08)
  3. "No Choice" (2:55)
  4. "Lettin' Go" (3:55)
  5. "Blind Hate/Blind Rage" (2:36)
  6. "Greenwood Home of Medicine/Don't You Have a Woman" (2:13)
  7. "She's Back" (3:16)
  8. "Tearin' Me Apart" (4:20)
  9. "Green Eyed Lady" (2:53)
  10. "Brutality and Corruption" (2:23)
  11. "Living, Dying, Living/In a Zombie World" (5:56)

Hmm, this wasn't as difficult to find as I thought...not much to say, just typical Accused "splatter metal" with Sugarloaf's "Green Eyed Lady" as the obligatory cover. I'm pretty sure the band broke up after this one, haven't heard anything from them since...
