From what I can gather, this band started out as typical death/thrash metal, and slowly
gravitated towards a more melodic, technical sound.
"Manic Impressions"
- "Paint a Picture" (5:57)
- "I Love the World" (4:49)
- "Something Real" (5:59)
- "Dream Again" (3:20)
- "Explained Away" (6:01)

- "Idle Hours" (4:36)
- "Far Too Long" (5:50)
Working backwards through the Anacrusis discography here...this album is quite different
from Screams and Whispers, much darker and more raw. The music forms a perfect union
of technical metal and all-out thrash, which lends itself to quite a unique sound. Not bad!

- "Grateful" (5:13)
- "A Screaming Breath" (4:19)

Technical, progressive thrash. "Sound the Alarm" is by far the best song here,
and as a result, the rest kinda pales in comparison. I taped that song from a friend's CD,
and this particular disc was sitting in the used bins for over a year, until I finally
picked it up once I figured it was worth getting for that one song. A few other tracks
are okay, particularly "Grateful", and the mostly instrumental "Brotherhood?", but all
in all it's a one-song album. :)
