At the Gates

Thrash metal seemed to die out in the 1990's, but the reality is, it just moved overseas. At the Gates, apparently, was at the forefront of the "Gothenberg Sound", a genre which included other Swedish bands like In Flames, Edge of Sanity, and others that nobody in America even HEARD of, until word started spreading across the Internet.

Decided to pick this one up first, thanks to an mp3 of the blistering thrash-attack "Blinded by Fear". A fairly short CD, but oh what pleasant sounds...good god, you Europeans are so damn lucky!!
