Well, I've long debated on whether or not to start a B-52's collection...so when
this greatest hits collection came out, I jumped at the chance.
"Time Capsule: Songs for a Future Generation"
- "Planet Claire" (4:36)
- "52 Girls" (3:35)
- "Rock Lobster" (4:54)
- "Party Out of Bounds" (3:21)
- "Strobelight" (4:00)
- "Private Idaho" (3:34)
- "Quiche Lorraine" (3:57)
- "Mesopotamia" (3:50)
- "Song for a Future Generation" (3:59)
- "Summer of Love"--original unreleased mix (4:34)
- "Channel Z" (4:50)
- "Deadbeat Club" (4:54)
- "Love Shack" (5:22)
- "Roam" (4:52)
- "Good Stuff" (5:55)
- "Is That You Mo-Dean?" (5:07)
- "Debbie" (3:34)
- "Hallucinating Pluto" (4:19)
Tracks 1-8 are definitely the best stuff here...it really would be worthwhile to collect
the early B-52s albums, you know. But it's cool to also get "Song for a Future Generation"
from their more obscure middle years, and also, I guess, that shamelessly pop yet still
likeable "Love Shack".
