Bad Company

Mid-70's rock group with a Southern feel, even though they're all from England. Their biggest claim to fame is being the first group signed to Led Zeppelin's Swan Song label...and speaking of Led Zep, lead singer Paul Rodgers later teamed up with Jimmy Page in the band The Firm. Apparently the group is still around, having recorded several records after Rodgers had long departed...jeez, some people just don't know when to quit.

"Bad Company"

  1. "Can't Get Enough" (4:16)
  2. "Rock Steady" (3:47)
  3. "Ready for Love" (5:02)
  4. "Don't Let Me Down" (4:20)
  5. "Bad Company" (4:50)
  6. "The Way I Choose" (5:05)
  7. "Movin' On" (3:24)
  8. "Seagull" (4:03)

The band's debut record spawned more radio hits than anything they've done since: "Can't Get Enough", "Movin' On", "Ready for Love", "Rock Steady" and the haunting, moody title track. (Don't you just love it when bands name songs after themselves? Well I certainly do....)

"Straight Shooter"

  1. "Good Lovin' Gone Bad" (3:37)
  2. "Feel Like Makin' Love" (5:16)
  3. "Weep No More" (4:02)
  4. "Shooting Star" (6:19)
  5. "Deal with the Preacher" (5:04)
  6. "Wild Fire Woman" (4:35)
  7. "Anna" (3:45)
  8. "Call on Me" (6:05)

Cool cover art on this one; also has a decent handful of radio hits, especially "Good Lovin' Gone Bad", "Feel Like Makin' Love", and "Shooting Star" (which Iced Earth did a spectacular cover of.) The last couple songs kinda suck, though.
