An ICQ friend turned me on to this black-metal CD, which features a big chunk of cover songs by "old school" black metal bands: Venom's "Warhead", Bathory's "Sacrifice", Mercyful Fate's "Evil", and Celtic Frost's "Circle of the Tyrants". "Come to the Sabbath" is NOT the Fate song, but from a 70's Satanic progressive-folk band called Black Widow, who used to perform mock sacrifices of nude women in their concerts! And by default, it's the most interesting song on the album, since I'd never heard the original before. :) As for the rest...well, "Sacrifice" is very close to the original, and "Evil" sounds okay, but the other songs kinda blow. The sole original track, "Hellcult", is similarly unimpressive.
