Guess I better explain what happened. Was merely browsing through the used bins at the record store, when the manager put on this minimalist pop song, with innocent, Veruca Salt-style vocals over a Portishead-like hip-hop beat. Funny thing was...it was Black Sabbath's "Iron Man"!! I was laughing so hard I just *had* to buy it right away.

It's pointless to review the rest of the disc, but there are a couple nice tracks here -- "Your New Cuckoo" and "Lovefool", in particular, have a pleasant 10,000 Maniacs-meets-Ace of Base disco sound. A few of the songs, esp. the more hip-hoppy ones, really make me nauseous (if I ever start collecting this type of music, please SHOOT ME!!!) but hey, it don't matter, was worth $4.99 just for the "Iron Man" song! Especially since I'm obliged to buy every Black Sabbath cover song I can lay my hands on...
