Cyclone Temple

L.A. band (I think) that started under the name "Znowhite", and was featured on Metal Massacre III.

"I Hate Therefore I Am"

  1. "Why" (6:20)
  2. "Sister (Until We Meet Again)" (5:50)
  3. "Words Are Just Words" (7:18)
  4. "Public Enemy" (4:11)
  5. "In God We Trust" (4:31)
  6. "I Hate Therefore I Am" (7:12)
  7. "March for Me, Die for Me" (5:06)
  8. "Born to Lose" (6:37)
  9. "Silence So Loud" (4:46)

I bought this used CD on spec and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Rhythmic heavy metal with excellent vocals, quite progressive in their song structures.

"Building Errors in the Machine"

  1. "Hate Makes Hate" (3:55)
  2. "Me, Myself & I" (5:30)
  3. "Down the Drain" (4:28)
  4. "Killing Floor" (5:23)
  5. "Drug of the Masses" (5:49)
  6. "The Law of Relativity" (4:46)

This EP features a new lead singer, and it doesn't even sound like the same band! Crappy vocals, crappy production. Worth the 99 cents I paid, though. "Law of Relativity" is a curious rap/metal tune.

"My Friend Lonely"

  1. "Hate Makes Hate" (3:50)
  2. "Down the Drain" (4:39)
  3. "My Friend Lonely" (4:30)
  4. "Me, Myself & I" (5:43)
  5. "Drug of the Masses" (4:33)
  6. "Comfortably Superficial" (4:00)
  7. "Killing Floor" (5:24)
  8. "Time Heals All" (5:02)
  9. "The Law of Relativity"--unlisted, end of track #8 (4:46)

Sort of a waste...all you get are rerecordings of the songs from "Building Errors" (except "Law of Relativity", which is the exact same song) plus 3 new songs. At least the production quality & the new vocalist (third one for this band) are on par with their debut CD. The liner notes even include an apologetic "letter to the fans" saying how they wanted to rerecord the songs from their last album since it was out of print...blah, blah, what they really meant was, "We have run out of ideas! Pity us!" After all, the band never recorded anything else after this one.
