Progressive black metal. Never thought it could possibly exist. Until now.
"Naer Sólen Gar Niper For Evogher"
- "Eyesland" (5:39)
- "The Etheral Forest" (6:10)
- "Diabolical Beauty" (7:08)
- "In the Depths of My Soul" (5:10)
- "Ginom Rinande Lughier" (5:38)
- "As the Tears Fall" (6:26)
- "Svarter Skiner Sólen" (5:38)
- "Everflaming" (7:21)
A recent reissue of the band's debut album. The production quality stinks, but the
music displays an embryonic version of the complex arrangements they would perfect in
future releases. Two songs are in Swedish (gee, I wonder which ones?)
"Sorgh Pa Svarte Vingar Flogh"
- "Vya Kal"--instrumental (1:30)
- "Sorrow Flew on Black Wings" (7:51)
- "Soul of Dead Earth" (6:57)
- "Night of the Living Dead" (7:06)
Only 3 full songs, which is the only remotely negative thing I can say about this CD.
If Richard Wagner were alive today, this is the type of music he could do. (And for all I
know, it's true...nobody's ever dis-proved reincarnation, right?)
"Slaughtersun (Crown of the Triarchy)"
- "The Knell and the World" (9:03)
- "Falcula" (10:12)
- "To Achieve the Ancestral Powers"--instrumetal (2:02)
- "Ride the Wings of Pestilence" (9:44)
- "The Aphelion Deserts" (8:34)
- "Stalker's Blessings" (8:25)
- "Malediction Murder" (11:06)
Oh man, this one just flows from beginning to end. It's really amazing how
few separate notes are actually played, and how many structures and rhythms they form.
I downloaded an mp3 of "Falcula", and was ordering this CD after only listening to it
twice (a note to all you greedy record companies out there trying to shut down
mp3-trading!)
