During the interim of ELP's breakup, keyboardist Keith Emerson and
bassist/vocalist Greg Lake got together with Cozy Powell (presumably
to keep from changing the band's initials?), whose resume includes
Rainbow, Whitesnake, and
Black Sabbath. What followed was a PHENOMENAL piece of work! When
I bought this I listened to it over and over again for over a month. The frustrating part was
hearing an instrumental version of "Locomotion" on the radio, which didn't appear on the album
or CD at first. I searched high and low for it and finally gave up, and for awhile wondered
if in fact I had imagined it. Well, years passed, and here I run across a reissued or import
CD (whichever) with two extra songs on it, one being the one I was looking for! How cool.
