One of the very few German-speaking artists to hit the American charts. (Only others I can think of are Rammstein and that stupid "Da Da Da" song...)

Oh...in case you didn't hear...FALCO IS DEAD!! Not kidding! He got HIT BY A BUS!!! Dunno about you, but in my mind that has got to be the FUNNIEST way do die...

Minimalist club disco, with "Der Kommissar" becoming a minor hit, although I prefer the atmospheric "Zuviel Hitze" and weird vocalizations of "Auf der Flucht". An English version of "Der Kommissar" was recorded by the band After the Fire -- one part I found cute was how the "two, three, four" part of the German version was changed to "zwei, drei, vier" in the English version. :-)
