Yes, you read that right...in fact, I'd be remiss not to quote the band's biography from the Hayseed Dixie homepage:

"Hailing from the valley of Deer Lick Holler, in an area completely isolated from outside culture, Hayseed Dixie offers a sound that is old yet new. As kids in the holler, their most profound musical influence was some AC/DC vinyl records that they found in a wrecked car. All they had to listen to them on was an old Edison Victrola that only played at 78 R.P.M., but the boys all agreed it was mighty fine country music."

Ok, I don't know what kind of grass they smoke in Deer Lick Holler (AC/DC as COUNTRY MUSIC?!?!?), but I hope the band will send me some! Like all bizarre genre-crossing tributes, this one's side-splittingly hilarious for the first few tracks, but then just sounds dumb. Still, it's worth a listen just for "You Shook Me All Night Long", played with banjo, fiddles, and a beer jug -- perfect music for making out with your cousin!
