I don't know a lot about this band, except that they're from New York.
"Strap it On"
- "Repetiton" (3:00)
- "Rude" (4:13)
- "Bad Mood" (2:15)
- "Sinatra" (4:31)
- "FBLA" (2:40)
- "Blacktop" (3:20)
- "Distracted" (3:12)
- "Make Room" (3;28)
- "Murder" (4:05)
The band's first album (I think...) Raw, thick and heavy, about as un-mainstream
you can get. I enjoyed this one a lot more than their later releases.
"Meantime"
- "In the Meantime" (3:11)
- "Ironhead" (3:23)
- "Give It" (4:17)
- "Unsung" (3:59)
- "Turned Out" (4:13)
- "He Feels Bad" (4:02)
- "Better" (3:09)
- "You Borrowed" (3:49)
- "FBLA II" (3:22)
- "Role Model" (3:31)
"Unsung" has a real grungy feel to it, and made me an instant fan. The other songs are
pretty cool too but don't seem to stand out from one another.
"Born Annoying"
- "Born Annoying (1989)" (6:03)
- "Rumble"--instrumental (2:26)
- "Shirley MacLaine" (6:19)
- "Geisha to Go" (3:29)
- "Taken" (1:53)
- "Your Head" (3:20)
- "Oven" (1:20)
- "No Nicky No"--instrumental (2:17)
- "Primitive" (3:58)
- "Born Annoying (1993)" (4:58)
A collection of b-sides and other rare tracks thrown together to capitalize on the success
of Meantime, I guess. The instrumentals are nice, and so are "Your Head" and the
Killing Joke cover "Primitive", the rest is kinda blehh.
"Betty"
- "Wilma's Rainbow" (3:54)
- "I Know" (3:41)
- "Biscuits for Smut" (2:53)
- "Milquetoast" (3:54)
- "Tic" (3:41)
- "Rollo" (2:38)
- "Street Crab" (3:31)
- "Clean" (2:27)
- "Vaccination" (3:04)
- "Beautiful Love" (2:03)
- "Speechless" (2:59)
- "The Silver Hawaiian" (2:08)
- "Overrated" (2:41)
- "Sam Hell" (2:09)
Much better than their previous album, despite the stupid cover art. The sound is quite
heavy and borders on industrial rock.
"Aftertaste"
- "Pure" (3:32)
- "Renovation" (2:55)
- "Exactly What You Wanted" (2:36)
- "Like I Care" (3:19)
- "Driving Nowhere" (4:19)
- "Birth Defect" (2:31)
- "Broadcast Emotion" (2:44)
- "It's Easy to Get Bored" (3:26)
- "Diet Aftertaste" (3:16)
- "Harmless" (2:58)
- "(High) Visibility" (2:41)
- "Insatiable" (2:31)
- "Crisis King" (3:54)
"Pure" starts out hard and fast, but the rest kind of devolves into a mishmash of the same
old stuff they've been doing forever. Hardly any variety or originality, and I actually get bored
listening to it. Guess I'm done with this band...
