I cannot TELL you how long I searched for this CD! Many times I ordered it from online stores, just to find out their catalog hadn't been updated in awhile...well guess what, it's been reissued! Hooray!!

Ok, here's the story: before joining Van Halen, Sammy Hagar did a one-off project with Journey guitarist Neil Schon and two no-names (Aaronson and Shrieve, obviously) on bass and drums. The album was recorded live (with the audience mixed out) which accounts for the RAW and HEAVY sound -- if you think Sammy Hagar's music is wimpy, check out this CD! It ROCKS!!! My favorite part is the sort-of-medley "Animation", "Valley of the Kings" and "Giza", that atmospheric guitar is pure heaven...

"No Animation" (live; CDR)

  1. "(I've Been) Missing You" (5:16)
  2. "(Sittin' on) Top of the Rock" (4:34)
  3. "In for the Kill" (5:21)
  4. "Hot and Dirty" (4:28)
  5. "Tough Enough" (3:12)
  6. "He Will Understand" (5:27)
  7. "Through the Eyes of Love" (4:41)
  8. "Ever Since You Came" (4:46)
  9. "Hope" (6:13)
  10. "If There Is No Animation" (6:05)
  11. "Valley of the Kings" (3:20)
  12. "Giza" (1:20)
  13. "Back in My Home Town" (4:52)
  14. "Hope and Fear" (8:35)
  15. "A Whiter Shade of Pale" (4:50)

Yikes, the ENTIRE H.S.A.S. concert, this time "totally" live, with TWICE the songs of the official release!! This is a CDR copy; my "rare CD connection" :) was auctioning the original at a price that was waaayy out of my range, so I begged & pleaded for him to make me a copy. Normally I'm not fond of CDRs, but since the original was an "Italian import", which is pretty much a euphemism for "bootleg", I can live with it.
