"Through the Fire"Ok, here's the story: before joining Van Halen, Sammy Hagar did a one-off project with Journey guitarist Neil Schon and two no-names (Aaronson and Shrieve, obviously) on bass and drums. The album was recorded live (with the audience mixed out) which accounts for the RAW and HEAVY sound -- if you think Sammy Hagar's music is wimpy, check out this CD! It ROCKS!!! My favorite part is the sort-of-medley "Animation", "Valley of the Kings" and "Giza", that atmospheric guitar is pure heaven...
"No Animation" (live; CDR)Yikes, the ENTIRE H.S.A.S. concert, this time "totally" live, with TWICE the songs of the official release!! This is a CDR copy; my "rare CD connection" :) was auctioning the original at a price that was waaayy out of my range, so I begged & pleaded for him to make me a copy. Normally I'm not fond of CDRs, but since the original was an "Italian import", which is pretty much a euphemism for "bootleg", I can live with it.
