At first I refused to have anything to do with Jane's Addiction, after reading an interview
with Perry Farrel, where he came across as a total egotistical asshole. Listening to a few
of their songs quickly changed my mind, though, and now I find their music quite superb,
although the band didn't last very long. A couple members of the band collaborated
with Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike
Muir for the band project Infectious Grooves.

"Nothing's Shocking"
- "Up the Beach" (3:00)
- "Ocean Size" (4:20)
- "Had a Dad" (3:44)
- "Ted, Just Admit It..." (7:23)
- "Standing in the Shower...Thinking" (3:03)
- "Summertime Rolls" (6:18)
- "Mountain Song" (4:03)
- "Idiots Rule" (3:00)
- "Jane Says" (4:52)
- "Thank You Boys" (1:00)
- "Pig's in Zen" (4:30)
I'll tell you what's shocking...Perry Farrel NAKED! Haha. Some great music here, spacious
and airy, nothing like anything I've ever heard before. Oh yeah...the cover art is WAY COOL,
don't you think??
"Ritual de lo Habitual"
- "Stop!" (4:13)
- "No One's Leaving" (3:00)
- "Ain't No Right" (3:34)
- "Obvious" (5:54)
- "Been Caught Stealing" (3:33)
- "Three Days" (10:46)
- "Then She Did..." (8:17)
- "Of Course" (7:01)
- "Classic Girl" (5:07)
Another fantastic album, and I held out for the original cover art which is hard to find
these days. (Pressure from brainless right-wing groups forced the band to reissue the CD with
nothing but a copy of the First Amendment printed on the sleeve.) "Been Caught Stealing" kinda
annoys me, because it got played so much, but the rest of the songs are quite incredible.
