KMFDM

A highly recommended band that I originally filed away on my "someday when I have the money" list; but after the Littleton, Colorado high school shootings, this one moved WAY up on my priority list. (Hey, any band that influences teenagers to go around killing themselves and their classmates gets an automatic thumbs-up in my book!)

"Nihil"

  1. "Ultra" (4:33)
  2. "Juke Joint Jezebel" (5:40)
  3. "Flesh" (5:01)
  4. "Beast" (5:06)
  5. "Terror" (4:49)
  6. "Search & Destroy" (3:26)
  7. "Disobedience" (4:42)
  8. "Revolution" (4:26)
  9. "Brute" (4:25)
  10. "Trust" (6:48)

This one has a much heavier sound than "Symbols" (or whatever you want to call it), with some very catchy riffs (especially "Ultra", "Juke Joint Jezebel" & "Disobedience"). Highly recommended, indeed.

"Symbols"

  1. "Megalomaniac" (6:07)
  2. "Stray Bullet" (5:30)
  3. "Leid und Elend" (6:09)
  4. "Mercy" (5:02)
  5. "Torture" (7:01)
  6. "Spit Sperm" (4:46)
  7. "Anarchy" (5:34)
  8. "Down and Out" (6:39)
  9. "Unfit" (6:01)
  10. "Waste" (3:38)

And you thought "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince" was annoying...this album's title is made up of five unpronounceable symbols! Hence, it's commonly refered to as "Symbols", "KMFDM", or "Megalomaniac", which causes serious confusion when trying to order it from online dealers....in any case, many people have referred to this as their best album, well I don't know about that but it's pretty fucking damn good!! Definitely more in the techno-industrial vein, although songs like "Spit Sperm" and "Anarchy" (the two best songs here) contain thrash-metal riffs similar to fellow German industrialists Rammstein.

As for the rest of their CDs...well, I do plan to get some, but I looked at their catalog and DAMN they've got a bunch! (Including a rare one.) Boy, this is gonna cost me money...
