Huey Lewis & the News

Huey Lewis is probably the most ORDINARY guy to ever hit it big in rock'n'roll. He's been in a few movies, too -- Back to the Future, of course, and also the film Short Cuts, where he takes a leak into a river and winds up pissing on a dead body!

"Picture This"

  1. "Change of Heart" (3:41)
  2. "Tell Me a Little Lie" (3:42)
  3. "Giving It All Up for Love" (3:11)
  4. "Hope You Love Me Like You Say You Do" (3:44)
  5. "Workin for a Livin" (2:36)
  6. "Do You Believe in Love" (3:30)
  7. "Is it Me" (3:01)
  8. "Whatever Happened to True Love" (3:14)
  9. "The Only One" (4:46)
  10. "Buzz Buzz Buzz" (2:29)

I seem to remember this album being a lot better than I find it today. "Workin for a Livin" and "Do You Believe in Love" are still great songs, and "The Only One" is okay, but the rest are simple, stupid love songs that I can't stomach at all. Oh well, it was only $4.99...

"Sports"

  1. "The Heart of Rock & Roll" (5:01)
  2. "Heart and Soul" (4:10)
  3. "Bad is Bad" (3:46)
  4. "I Want a New Drug" (4:46)
  5. "Walking on a Thin Line" (5:08)
  6. "Finally Found a Home" (3:42)
  7. "If This is It" (3:46)
  8. "You Crack Me Up" (3:39)
  9. "Honky Tonk Blues" (3:16)

Probably the best of Huey's albums, and also bought for $4.99, mostly for nostalgia's sake since I'm totally SICK of the music by now...not that it's bad, just that I must have heard every single song a hundred thousand times on the radio -- especially that really HORRIBLE song, I won't even speak it's name, but it's the one with the band members buried neck-deep in the sand...makes me want to break out one of those carnival sledgehammers!! On the other hand, I still enjoy "I Want a New Drug", for obvious reasons. :)
