- "Celebration Song" (2:31)
- "My Dark Hour" (3:08)
Picked this one up because...umm, it was there. :) Mostly acoustic/psychedelic tunes,
quite a bore at times. Really, the only upbeat songs are "Space Cowboy" and "Living in the
U.S.A." which I'm sure you've all heard by now.
"Fly Like an Eagle"
- "Space Intro"--instrumental (1:14)
- "Fly Like an Eagle" (4:42)
- "Wild Mountain Honey" (4:49)
- "Serenade" (3:11)
- "Dance, Dance, Dance" (2:17)
- "Mercury Blues" (3:43)
- "Take the Money and Run" (2:50)
- "Rock'N Me" (3:07)
- "You Send Me (2:42)
- "Blue Odyssey"--instrumental (0:53)
- "Sweet Maree" (4:18)
- "The Window" (4:16)
The title track used to be one of my all-time favorite Steve Miller songs, but the U.S. Postal
Service ruined it for me when they adopted it as their commercial theme song. Come to think,
"Take the Money and Run" was also used for a commercial long ago, and I'm sure it's only a matter
of time before "Rock'N Me" suffers the same fate... The rest of the album comprises of the same
boring psychedelic folk rock that fills up most of Steve's albums, with two awful covers of
"Mercury Blues" and "You Send Me", and the lame-ass country song "Dance, Dance, Dance".
"Book of Dreams"
- "Threshold"--instrumental (1:06)
- "Jet Airliner" (4:26)
- "Winter Time" (3:12)
- "Swingtown" (3:57)
- "True Fine Love" (2:40)
- "Wish Upon a Star" (3:39)
- "Jungle Love" (3:08)
- "Electro Lux Imbroglio"--instrumental (0:57)
- "Sacrifice" (5:21)
- "The Stake" (3:58)
- "My Own Space" (3:04)
- "Babes in the Wood"--instrumental (2:33)
Notable for two brilliant classic rock tunes, "Jet Airliner" and "Swingtown". The rest
tends to be an experimental mish-mash and doesn't interest me all that much.
