Nailbomb

Two-man side project featuring Max Cavalera of Seputura and Alex Newport of Fudge Tunnel. (One of the guys from Fear Factory, I think it's the drummer, contributes to this album as well.)

"Point Blank"

  1. "Wasting Away" (3:06)
  2. "Vai Toma No Cu" (4:47)
  3. "24 Hour Bullshit" (3:54)
  4. "Guerrillas" (4:26)
  5. "Blind and Lost" (1:54)
  6. "Sum of Your Achievements" (2:42)
  7. "Cockroaches" (5:10)
  8. "For Fuck's Sake" (5:44)
  9. "World of Shit" (4:13)
  10. "Exploitation" (2:28)
  11. "Religious Cancer" (5:09)
  12. "Shit Pinata"--instrumental (1:09)
  13. "Sick Life" (6:31)
  14. (unlisted track, end of track #13)--instrumental (1:20)

Not surprisingly, this album sounds a helluva lot like Sepultura, though quite a bit rawer & industrial-sounding. The "hidden track" is just some sloppy jam session of the more recognizable guitar licks from "Dead Embryonic Cells".

"Proud to Commit Commercial Suicide" (live album)

  1. "Wasting Away" (3:58)
  2. "Guerrillas" (3:39)
  3. "Cockroaches" (4:30)
  4. "Vai Toma No Cu" (4:14)
  5. "Sum of Your Achievements" (2:10)
  6. "Religious Cancer" (4:26)
  7. "Police Truck" (3:21)
  8. "Exploitation" (2:11)
  9. "World of Shit" (3:28)
  10. "Blind and Lost" (2:07)
  11. "Sick Life" (6:53)
  12. "While You Sleep, I Destroy Your World"--studio track (5:09)
  13. "Zero Tolerance"--studio track (6:31)

This album was recorded at Holland's Dynamo festival in 1995, which was Nailbomb's second, and final, show. The liner notes describe their reasons for breaking up as thus: "It soon became obvious that if we continued, the band [would] become just another 'product' of the music business: Nailbomb on MTv. Nailbomb coffee mugs. Fuck that." Yeah, and how about pointless live albums that merely rehash all the songs from their debut album, with shitty production to boot?? (Ok, so they added "Police Truck", a Dead Kennedys song, and two bonus studio tracks. Big deal.) And I think the band members think too much of themselves if they really expected Nailbomb coffee mugs to be all the rage -- metal was pretty much dead in the water by '95, after all.
