It's always annoying when stupid record companies mix up the song order when rereleasing
an album on CD...but for a CONCEPT album, it's a freakin' ABOMINATION! I guess the first
three tracks aren't so badly out of place, since they have little to do with the Atlantis/Sentinel
concept here, but why in God's name did they have to break up "Rise and Fall" into TWO PARTS?!?
Plus, "Atlantis" DEFINITELY belongs at the end, not "Ark of Infinity"...sheesh!
Well, guess I shouldn't really complain, since it's only by good fortune that this
prog-rock classic got reissued on CD in the first place, and a downright MIRACLE
that I managed to get the damn thing!! Plus, there's three bonus tracks here: "East West",
"March on Atlantis", and "Heart Attack" (but wait...no "Crown of Thorns"?? Why didn't
they include that song? It's not like there wasn't enough room...) Some people compare
this band to Marillion, but I just don't see it...to me, they're
more of a combination between Signals-era Rush and
Ultravox. No matter what you compare it to, it's a fantastic
album.
