Rigor Mortis

Obscure Texas thrash band who first appeared on the soundrack for The Decline of Western Civilization II: The Metal Years, even though they never appeared in the movie itself. Their CDs are virtually impossible to find these days.

A unique-sounding album due to the guitars, which sound like a swarm of ravening locusts! Good thrash, heavy and brutal. I found this CD brand new for $5.99 in the record store's cut-out bin -- even remarked to the cashier what a score I'd found, he didn't seem that impressed. What a fool, I should show him the recent eBay auction where this CD fetched a $46 price. Yes. Life is good. :)

Finally listened to this one to see what it was like. Whaddaya know, it's pretty damn good, albeit mostly in the same vein as their debut. The long "Six Feet Under" instrumental is possibly the best thing they've ever done!

HAHA!! NEVER thought I'd see this one again, let alone for $2.99 used! (Man, ya gotta love the Wherehouse...they have NO IDEA what classic thrash is worth these days.) Not as impressive as their first two releases, but worth owning for gloating rights, if nothing else. :) "Psycho Therapy" is the Ramones song, of course.
