S.O.D. (Stormtroopers of Death)
Note: This particular item is #1 on my "buy used" list, but I've never managed
to locate a copy in the bins. Finally, I bugged my brother into burning me a copy.
I *fully* intend to purchase the official version, once I get a new
job and my CD budget rises from zero!

Legendary side project formed by three guys from Anthrax:
drummer Charlie Benante, guitarist Scott Ian, and bassist Danny Lilker (who moved on to form
Nuclear Assault after this record.) Lead vocals are handled by 275-pound Billy Milano,
who formed his own band M.O.D. afterwards. This CD is a punk classic:
thoroughly vulgar, obscene, politically incorrect, and with some hilarious tunes that last
less than five seconds! ("Diamonds and Rust", I suppose, is a rendition of the Joan Baez tune
that Judas Priest is famous for covering.) I've heard that a
"remastered" edition with 5 extra tracks is in the works (and might already be available,
I haven't checked CDNow to find out)...and the guy who copied this CDR fucked up and left a
gap between the first two tracks, which are supposed to flow together. No matter, even more
incentive to pick up the real thing ASAP.
