Survivor

Hehe...well, what can I say? This band's been the brunt of every joke made about eighties pop-rock...

"Eye of the Tiger"

  1. "Eye of the Tiger" (4:05)
  2. "Feels Like Love" (4:07)
  3. "Hesitation Dance" (3:51)
  4. "The One That Really Matters" (3:31)
  5. "I'm Not That Man Anymore" (4:47)
  6. "Children of the Night" (4:45)
  7. "Ever Since the World Began" (3:45)
  8. "American Heartbeat" (4:09)
  9. "Silver Girl" (4:52)

Oh no NOT THE ROCKY III SONG!! Oh well...actually, this was one of my favorite albums from when I first started buying crappy vinyl. In fact, once I sat down and wrote a parody of each song on this album: "I Am a Tiger", "Feels Like Lunch" (actually, I think my brother wrote that one), "Masturbation Dance", "I'm Not a Man Anymore", etc....

However, what I *really* love is the ballad, "Ever Since the World Began" -- that song is just fuckin' beautiful!! Sure wish it had an extra chorus and a guitar solo, though. Tommy Shaw (that Styx guy) did a cover of it, but didn't come close to capturing the emotion of the original...
