The band logo on this page is an XBM file, a format I've never heard of and one
that NONE of my various graphics applications can make sense of...but Netscape reads
it just fine. Go figure.

Apparently this band had a long and glorious career (ended abruptly with Phil
Lynott's sudden, drug-influenced death) and even included Gary
Moore at one point, but this is the only album that ever caught my attention.
Hell, I've never even HEARD of anything else by them...except, of course, that
co-guitarist Brian Robertson did an album with Motorhead,
and their song "Massacre" was covered on an Iron Maiden
b-side. Oh yeah, "The Boys Are Back in Town" (is that a kick-ass song or what??)
was also covered by Bon Jovi on the v/a album,
Stairway to Heaven, Highway to Hell -- and they
do a fairly decent version, believe it or not! Yes!! BON JOVI!!! I'm serious!!
But the most important thing about this album is the parody song I wrote, based on
"Jailbreak", a few months after the 1994 Northridge earthquake:
"EARTHQUAKE"
Tonight there's gonna be an earthquake
Centered in this town
See me & the boys runnin' for cover
Freeway bridges fallin' down
Back and forth, shakin' right to left
Apartment buildings collapse with death
High-rises sway, aftershocks all day
For weeks on end...
Tonight there's gonna be an earthquake
Centered in this town
Tonight there's gonna be an earthquake
So don't you fool around
(Don't you fool around...uhh)
Tonight there's gonna be a brush fire
Black clouds fillin' the sky
See the boys & me fetch buckets
Firemen gettin' burned alive
Summer's left the sagebrush parched and dry
All hell breaks loose, alarms & sirens cry
400 homes charred and gone
Better call State Farm...
Tonight there's gonna be an earthquake
Centered in this town
Tonight there's gonna be an earthquake
So don't you fool around
Tonight there's gonna be rubble
That once was shopping malls
Tonight there's gonna be rubble
So can't you hear my call?
Tonight there's gonna be a mudslide
Into the canyon homes
Piled-up sandbags try to stop it
But they can't for long
Riots, floods, heat waves all the time
At least most days the sun will shine
L.A., City of Disasters
Think I'll stay...
Tonight there's gonna be an earthquake
Centered in this town
Tonight there's gonna be an earthquake
So don't you fool around
Tonight there's gonna be rubble
I'll find myself trapped in
Tonight there's gonna be rubble
So get your shovel and dig in...
