Robin Trower

I used to have a large collection of Robin Trower on crappy vinyl but sold them all a very, VERY long time ago...would be cool to get Long Misty Days on CD someday, that song was so goddamned trippy!

"Bridge of Sighs"

  1. "Day of the Eagle" (5:04)
  2. "Bridge of Sighs" (5:05)
  3. "In This Place" (4:28)
  4. "The Fool and Me" (3:57)
  5. "Too Rolling Stoned" (7:29)
  6. "About to Begin" (3:43)
  7. "Lady Love" (3:21)
  8. "Little Bit of Sympathy" (4:20)

You know, as much of an essential classic this CD is, it sure had a HELLUVA hard time getting into my collection...the problem being, of course, that by the time I got to the "T" section in the used bins, I was already some $30-$50 over budget. (Heck, I spent YEARS trying to buy Tears for Fears's Songs from the Big Chair...) Finally I said, "Fuck it...I'll just sell a few more securities!"

A cover of "Too Rolling Stoned" appears on the Hempilation CD.

"Take What You Need"

  1. "Tear it Up" (4:21)
  2. "Take What You Need (from Me)" (5:28)
  3. "Love Attack" (3:28)
  4. "I Want You Home" (3:47)
  5. "Shattered" (3:18)
  6. "Over You" (5:34)
  7. "Careless" (3:36)
  8. "Second Time" (3:39)
  9. "Love Won't Wait Forever" (4:45)

Somehow this CD survived my frequent binge/purge cycles (I had a tendency to get rid of CDs by artists with better CDs that I didn't own...) Some nice, poppy tunes here, a few blues numbers, but on the whole nothing special. Can't even remember the last time I listened to it. Of course, in the meantime it's apparently become VERY out of print...I've already gloated over a couple die-hard Trower fans begging me for it. :-)
