"La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. 1"A friend of a friend showed up one day and passed out a bunch of promo CDs (guess he was in the marketing biz) to whoever at my house wanted them. One of them was this one, and I passed on it...and only days later, heard the incredible cuts "Thunder Kiss" and "Black Sunshine" on MTv! (Well, "Thunder Kiss" seemed kinda stupid at the time, but "Sunshine" was WICKEDLY awesome...) I was so pissed, I threw the Warrior Soul CD I had chosen out the window.... Another fine track is "Welcome...", which was hilarious because on MTv they labeled it, "Welcome to Planet M.F." (and I remember a Beavis & Butthead segment where they were watching the video and saying, "Hey Beavis, what does M.F. mean?" "Uhh, I don't know, Butthead, what does it mean?" "I don't know, huh-huh, huh-huh...") The rest is pretty damn weird, though...good album, just never got into it much.
"Astro-Creep: 2000"White Zombie goes industrial! Now THIS is an album I could really get into. "Electric Head" opens up with a raunchy, chugga-chugga riff that shakes the paint from the walls..."More Human Than Human", of course, was their hit, but DAMN if that track don't sound fine...
...Oh hey! Completely forgot to mention that White Zombie's donated a lot of songs to various compilations, including Black Sabbath's "Children of the Grave" on Nativity in Black, "Feed the Gods" on the Airheads soundtrack, and "I Am Hell" on The Beavis & Butthead Experience.
