I've seen this CD around the used stores for a long time, and finally decided to pick it up. "Don't Go" is a classic bit of synth-pop (the band is a duo comprised of Alison Moyet and Depeche Mode founder Vince Clarke), followed by a few crap tracks ("I Before E..." and "In My Room" are strange experimental pieces.) Things get better on side two, with "Only You" (the only other song I knew from this album when I bought it), "Midnight" and "Goodbye Seventies" living up to the promise of the opening track. "Situation" is another excellent song, and in fact I heard it for the first time on the radio a few weeks before buying this CD, and my brother & I argued over whether it was Yaz or Alison Moyet solo...looks like I won the bet. :-)
