SQUADRON 417
Single-player UV lmp collection

Check out my NEW demo for Squadron map 21, more than 25 minutes faster than the original!

From the Squadron 417 text file: "Impossible! REQUIRES 2-player cooperative!"
From the Squadron 417 homepage: "...it's TOO intense for solo play."

Impossible? No! Intense?....YES!!!

Welcome to the world of Squadron 417, a 24-level co-op wad designed by Keith Hickman, Jeff Cruser, Sam Lopestri and Damon Thomas. For a long time I ignored this wad, even though it included one of my all-time favorite levels (OASIS.WAD), because I assumed it was not playable in single-player mode. Boy, was I wrong!

So to prove these levels are possible, I sat down to record every level from scratch, in single-player mode. This turned into a much more difficult project than I expected! Some levels are easy, and well-suited for single players. Others start out extremely hard but are made easier by vast stashes of health and ammo. And some levels (12, 14, 21) required that I become a much better Doom player before I could even attempt them!

In the end, there were two levels I could not do at all: 17, which is impossible due to a 2-player switch, and 22, which is, well, impossible!!

Anyway, the lmp collection is now as complete as it's ever going to get. Hope you enjoy watching them as much as I enjoyed creating them. Note: This may not be a good thing. :)

YES!! I want to download this collection!

Hmm, I'd better read the text file first...
