A Total Conversion by The Alpha Dog Alliance, this 32-level megawad contains some exciting new monsters and brilliantly designed levels. Okay, some of the levels aren't that great, and the new weapons are fairly useless, but still it was good enough for the Gods of Doom to put together a demo collection. The players here: Yonatan Donner, Peo Sjöblom, Kai-Uwe Humpert and Michael "Migru" Grube. Oh yeah, there's a demo of mine here as well, for map 29. • STR23KAI.LMP -- Kai-Uwe Humpert's original demo for map23, one of the most difficult Strain levels. He uses a somewhat different route by using the "sonic blaster" against the demonlords, and also shows exactly where that damned co-op secret is! Time = 15:59
• STR25-JH.LMP -- My own take on map25. This one was HARD!! I certainly don't break any speed records here and get lost in the dark maze a lot (the invulnerability fight turned out pretty cool, though.) Towards the end, the monsters decided to give me hell; next thing I knew, I was down to 1% health with over a dozen monsters left to kill! I suppose I could have found a few unused stimpacks lying around, but I was PISSED.... Time = 28:52.
