Notes: These 2 collections were made in 1987 on incredibly crappy BASF tapes, sourced
from vinyl and/or radio. The "Magic Flute" song is fuckin' hilarious, it's something of a
parody by "the worst opera singer in the world"...don't know where to get it now, I taped
it from a family I stayed with in Germany '87.

|
Notes: Now THIS tape was a stroke of genius. Recorded from a bunch of crappy vinyl
I didn't want anymore, I didn't even bother timing the song lengths, yet it fit PERFECTLY
on each side, with no more than 2 seconds to spare! Plus, the songs just FLOW together in
an amazing way...even the ones I wouldn't dare to listen to individually, sound great in
context with everything else (Juice Newton, Corey Hart.)
This entire tape (or rather, most of it) has been upgraded to
CDR.

|
Notes: I guess this was split into 2 parts because I used two 60min tapes.
Part A, side one has some neat classical/instrumental bits, plus a couple songs from
the Christian hard rock group "Resurrection Band". Side 2 combines Pet Shop Boys
(who are good) with sappy Steve Perry tunes. And God only knows where I got the
songs on tape B. I must have been in a sappy-pop top-40 mood, or something.
(Okay, the David Essex, Tierra & Dionne Warwick songs are pretty good...)

|
Notes: Made this one in a fit when I bought the Yes, Van Halen & Scorpions CDs in one
day and they all SUCKED. For some reason I thought to throw in some old soundtracks & stuff
(from vinyl), and as you can see this tape will one day become obsolete, because if flows
way too badly for a road tape. Cool, free tape.
I have no idea why there is no Mixed Puppy #6

Notes: More of the same, except this was during a CD purge when I needed cash badly.
The George Harrison songs are all fucked up, but who cares, God knows why I bought that
disc in the first place.
